WHAT IS TELEBEHAVIORAL HEALTH?

 

Telebehavioral is the use of live video conferencing to deliver behavioral care to patients. The sessions are provided by behavioral health professionals, such as mental health clinicians, social workers, and psychiatrists.

Instead of having to get to a clinic, patients can see and talk with their provider in the convenience of their own home, or another private location of your choosing with private internet access.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO RECEIVE

SERVICES AT CRC?

 

  • To receive our next day services, you will need either a smartphone or a computer with video capability. These devices will need to have a working camera, speakers, and microphone.

  • You will also need to be actively enrolled in a MassHealth or Medicare health insurance plan.

  • Medicare: To sign up for Medicare click here

No, the technology you’ll need to use is very simple and user friendly. We will guide you through every step. Participating in a telebehavioral session is very quick and easy.

IS TELEBEHAVIORAL HEALTH PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTAIL?

 

Yes, our telebehavioral sessions are safe, secure, encrypted, private and HIPAA compliant. Your telebehavioral sessions are never recorded and your appointments are kept confidential following HIPAA guidelines.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A SMARPHONE OR COMPUTER?

LIFELINE PROGRAM

 

The Subsidized Phone and Internet Service Lifeline is a federal program that provides no cost or low-cost phone service to low-income households. If you qualify, your household can get one Lifeline benefit for phone or internet service. Check your eligibility here.​

How fast does my Internet speed need to be for a telehealth session? 

Internet speed or bandwidth is the speed of your internet connection. For a telehealth session you will need around 1.5 Mbps for both upload and download speeds to successfully display audio and video data.
